The short version: we only collect what you type into our waitlist form, we use it to tell you about Barkeaze launching near you, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing barkeaze@outlook.com.
Who we are
This website (barkeaze.co.uk) is run by Barkeaze Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales. We're a small, family-run business based in Dorset. Barkeaze Ltd is the "data controller" for the personal information described in this policy.

What we collect
When you join our waitlist or apply to be a Founder Sitter, we collect:

We don't ask for, and please don't send us, payment details or sensitive information through the website.
Like every website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the page and keep it secure. We don't use this to identify you.
Our legal basis
We use your waitlist details because you've asked us to keep you updated — that's your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Technical data needed to run and secure the website is used on the basis of our legitimate interests in providing a working, safe site.
Cookies and tracking
This website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don't track you across other sites. If that ever changes, we'll update this policy and ask for your permission first where the law requires it.
The interactive paw diary demo on our home page runs entirely in your browser — anything you type or any photo you choose there is never uploaded or stored by us.
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your information. We only share it with the services that run our website for us, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Netlify — hosts this website and stores waitlist form submissions. Netlify is based in the United States; transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum / Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK–US data bridge).
- Google Fonts, Unsplash and Pexels — serve the fonts and photos on our pages. Your browser connects to them directly to load these, which shares your IP address with them, but no waitlist information.
We'd also share information if the law required us to.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist details until Barkeaze launches in your area and for up to 12 months after, or until you ask us to remove them or unsubscribe — whichever comes first. When you create a Barkeaze account, the app's own privacy policy will apply to that account.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
- correct anything that's wrong;
- delete your information;
- stop or restrict how we use it, or object to us using it;
- give it to you in a portable format.
Just email barkeaze@outlook.com. We'll respond within one month, and it's free. Every email we send also includes a way to unsubscribe.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Children
Our waitlist is for adults. If you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to sign up instead.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll email everyone on the waitlist.
